Daisy’s Batteries (DB’s) is building a network of self-service stations where people can rent a portable phone charger, keep using their device while it charges, and return the power bank to a compatible participating station.

How a portable charger rental works
At a participating DB’s station, a renter follows the live checkout instructions, uses tap-to-pay or scans the station QR code, and removes an available power bank. The charger travels with the renter instead of locking the phone inside a cabinet.
When finished, the renter inserts the power bank into an available slot at a compatible participating station and follows the return confirmation shown during checkout.
Designed for the places people already spend time
Portable power-bank stations can support universities, festivals, entertainment venues, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, waiting areas, and other busy locations where people need their phones for tickets, transportation, payments, communication, or safety.
DB’s plans to manage station monitoring, battery inventory, maintenance, and customer support under each final venue agreement.
Planned pricing and launch status
The planned public price begins at $2.50 for the first hour, with a $16 maximum for each consecutive 24-hour period and a $49.99 total non-return maximum after 32 hours. Final live checkout disclosures control each rental.
The network is in pre-launch. No public rental location should be treated as active until it appears in the live locator on the Daisy’s Batteries website.
Common questions
What partners and renters should know
Do I have to leave my phone at the station?
No. The service is designed around a removable power bank so renters can keep their phone with them while it charges.
Will I need a separate app?
The planned launch flow uses tap-to-pay or a station QR code without requiring a separate app download. Renters should follow the live station instructions.
Where will DB’s launch?
The first pilot is being planned for selected locations in Southern Illinois and the Greater St. Louis region.
