Rental terms
& pricing.

These terms explain the charges, timing, return requirements, and payment authorization that apply when you rent a DB’s portable power bank.

Effective upon public launch • Last updated September 20, 2026

$2.50one-hour minimum
$16maximum per consecutive 24-hour period
$49.99total maximum if not returned within 32 hours

1. Agreement and eligibility

By starting a rental, you agree to these Rental Terms, the pricing and disclosures shown at the station or checkout screen, and the linked Safety & Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to authorize the payment method used. A parent or legal guardian must complete and accept the rental for a minor.

2. Rental pricing

  • The first hour costs $2.50, even if the power bank is returned before the hour ends.
  • After each paid hour, a short overage of more than 0 minutes but less than 10 minutes costs $0.50.
  • At 10 minutes into the next hour, the full $2.50 charge for that additional hour applies. The $0.50 short-overage charge is replaced by the full-hour charge—it is not added on top.
  • For example, a return recorded from 1 hour 1 minute through 1 hour 9 minutes 59 seconds costs $3.00 total. A return recorded at 1 hour 10 minutes through 2 hours costs $5.00 total.
  • Rental charges are capped at $16 for each consecutive 24-hour rental period.
  • If the power bank is not returned within 32 hours after checkout, the rental ends and the total charge for that rental becomes $49.99.
  • The $49.99 non-return maximum includes rental charges already accrued; it is not added on top of those rental charges.
  • Taxes or government-required charges, if applicable, will be shown before payment or on the receipt.

3. Payment authorization and temporary holds

When you start a rental, you authorize Daisy’s Batteries LLC and its payment service providers to place the authorization shown at checkout, charge rental fees as they accrue, and charge any disclosed non-return, damage, or cleaning amount permitted by these terms.

  • The initial card authorization is $20. If a different amount is shown at checkout, the amount shown before you approve payment controls.
  • An authorization is a temporary reservation of available funds and may look like a pending charge.
  • After the rental is settled, unused authorized funds are released or the authorization is adjusted. Your bank or card issuer—not DB’s—controls how quickly released funds become available.
  • You authorize a final charge of up to $49.99 for a power bank that is not returned within 32 hours.
  • You authorize documented customer-caused damage or excessive-cleaning charges described below, subject to the no-stacking rule.

4. Returns and rental completion

  • Return the power bank to an open slot at a compatible, participating DB’s station unless the live checkout instructions limit returns to a specific location.
  • Keep the power bank inserted until the station confirms the return. A physical insertion without system confirmation may not end billing.
  • If a station does not confirm the return, note the station location and time, keep any receipt or screenshot, and contact support@daisysbatteries.com promptly.
  • You remain responsible for the power bank until the system records a successful return or DB’s verifies and corrects a return error.

5. Damage, cleaning, and loss

  • Ordinary wear: no charge.
  • Excessive cleaning reasonably required because of customer use: up to $9.99.
  • Repairable customer-caused damage: up to $24.99.
  • Destroyed, liquid-damaged, tampered-with, unsafe, or unusable power bank: up to $49.99.
  • DB’s will not stack a total-loss damage charge and a non-return charge for the same power bank.
  • We may request photographs, station records, or other reasonable documentation before resolving a disputed damage charge.

6. Late recovery, refunds, and disputes

If an undamaged, working power bank is returned within seven days after a $49.99 non-return charge, DB’s may issue a $15 recovery refund, leaving a final charge of $34.99. Failed dispenses, defective units, billing errors, refunds, and disputes are handled under our Refund & Dispute Policy.

7. Service availability

Station availability, power-bank inventory, payment methods, and return locations can change. DB’s does not promise uninterrupted service or that every station will have a power bank or open return slot at all times. If an interruption causes a verified billing error, we will correct it under the Refund & Dispute Policy.

8. Contact

For a rental problem or billing question, call (618) 604-0956 or email support@daisysbatteries.com. Include the rental date and approximate time, station location, amount, and the email or phone number used during checkout. Do not provide a full card number or security code.
